A couple of weeks ago I created this elegant and fun wedding cupcake tower for a lovely couple who got married at the gorgeous Pittville Pump Rooms in beautiful Cheltenham.
The cake tower was delicious mix of Cappuccino, Victoria Sandwich and Lemon Drizzle cupcakes in regular and bite sizes. Finished with a very fashionable naked cake piled high with an abundance of fresh fruit and a dusting of icing sugar.
Each of the dainty cupcakes were decorated with either an elegant vanilla buttercream swirl or a buttercream swirl and a handmade sugar sunflower, white Gerbera or a sprinkling of teeny tiny handmade pale blue flowers.
The overall effect was very striking and the cupcake tower looked stunning in the grand regency building. When collecting the cake stand the next week I was told not a single cake was left!
"Pia,
Just wanted to say thank you so much for the cake for the wedding. They looked fantastic and it all tasted superb.
Thanks Kev"
I really enjoyed creating this cupcake tower and I have noticed more and more couples are choosing cake towers for their weddings. They are a fantastic celebration cake as everyone can have their own individual dessert.
Let me know what you think below, would you have a cupcake tower at your wedding?
Best wishes,
Pia x
